embracing

Over the past few years, I've noticed more and more unruly grey hair popping up on my scalp.  I had taken this as a horrible sign of growing older and looking uglier by the day.  I've covered these wiry greys with blonde highlights over the past two years, however, my personal convictions in the past few months have put a halt to my salon visits.  And I am forced with a question, to dye or not to dye?

I am not sure I'm fully ready to rock a grey coiffure, but what I can do is try to embrace what I have, and gracefully accept God's design for me, and my hair.
*disclaimer: please note, no judgement from me if you dye your hair. I recognize this as a personal conviction of mine.*

On that note, I have also decided to try and embrace my height.  For those of you who don't know me, I am about 6 feet tall.  Although I hated it when I was in middle school, a head taller than all the boys, I am now grateful for my height.  But because I am on an outlier on the scale of height, a lot of the great women's shoes are built with a few extra inches.  And of course, I am a woman who has joined the common bandwagon of shoe-lovers and  have learned that I am indeed in love with heels. But why would I deny myself the joys of wearing these fabulous styles, just because it once again makes me a head taller than all the boys? I did it when I was 13 and I can probably handle it as I soon enter my 30's.

So, here's to embracing those things about yourself that you may (or may not) be struggling to accept.

**enjoy your day**
